Work with all branches of the military, NASA, FAA, industry, and academia to develop and run partnerships to help develop and field innovative technology.
- Explain the AFWERX organization, philosophy, and operating mechanisms to potential partners.
- Develop and staff partnership agreements. (In writing?)
- Implement partnerships by working with the partners on projects and connecting the partners with relevant AFWERX personnel.
- Assess ongoing partnerships and recommend corrections and improvements, both orally and in writing, to AFWERX leadership.
- Represent AFWERX at conferences and trade shows. (In North Carolina)
- Help develop press releases and short articles about AFWERX partnerships.
- Maintain awareness of AFWERX activities and achievements to explain these to partners.
- Track and report on AFWERX expenditures with partners.
- Travel as needed to AFWERX-related events. Normally, this will involve 2-5 day trips once or twice per month.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Secret Clearance is highly desired. People with no security clearance will be considered.
A bachelor’s degree in any field with major coursework in journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field. A combination of education and recent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
3+ years of relevant experience in outreach, marketing, or partnerships.
Experience with DoD acquisition is desired.
Demonstrated knowledge of effective communications techniques and engagement strategies.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing to leadership.
Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and coordinate outreach efforts, partnerships, or communications plans for a broad range of programs, services, and activities.
Able to operate independently with little supervision.
Demonstrated ability to learn about and understand high technology. A technical degree or technology experience is desired.
This is a 100% teleworking position but requires frequent travel to government, academia, and industry locations.
