This position coordinates flight test activities among multiple engineering disciplines in support of a wide range of T-7 related test programs. This individual should possess the ability to understand air vehicle system architecture, design and subsystems integration, and mission systems avionics.
Tasks and responsibilities are inclusive of but not limited to:
• Support the execution of flight test missions as Test Conductor (TC) or Test Director (TD), overseeing a team of discipline engineers in mission control room
• Monitor performance parameters of experimental and operational systems during flights
• Participate in development of the overall plans such as test points, test cards, etc.
• Provide integrated engineering support for design reviews, test planning working groups, test card prep, execution, and post flight reports
• Participate in and support test programs for design reviews
• Schedule meetings and liaison with test ranges, etc.
• Perform mechanical/electrical review of aircraft systems, sub-systems, and components to ensure proper test plans and data collection in flight test.
• Generate post flight mission reports and other detailed formal reports
This individual will be a team player and have a passion for flight test. This position requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to responsibilities that may change and evolve, as to support the customers’ requirements and needs. This position requires professionalism and the ability to interact with all levels. This individual will be required to work both in a team environment as well as independently.
Bachelors in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical or a related field)
Experience with aircraft flight test is desired.
Current Secret or Top Secret security clearance (desired)
Travel is required for this position.
