Responsibilities:

MTSI is seeking a Command and Control (C2) System Engineering & Integration Engineer, Senior, to provide Systems Engineering and Integration support to the Advanced Hypersonic Project Office (AHPO) for the development and fielding  of the Long Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW)  system. The ideal candidate will assist C2 Program Management in executing, coordinating and reporting government and contractor efforts, execute assessments; assist in assembling and reviewing test and integration plans and schedules. Candidate will also develop and present program briefings to senior management-level personnel. Will support the resolution of complex hardware, software and/or integration problems within appropriate IPTs that meet or exceed client requirements. Duties will include: 

  • Develop and maintain System Level Architectures
  • Author and lead Validation and Verification efforts for Mission Planning and C2
  • Identify and assist in managing risks
  • Interface with scheduling entities to develop and report on key efforts supporting Army Fielding
  • Interface with other government organizations and development contractors to facilitate preliminary concept exploration and candidate system design, test and integration.
  • Develop and present briefings, analyses, and reports to government customer.

Qualifications:

Required Skills:

  • Able to perform all functional duties independently.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work on high-visibility or mission critical aspects
  • Ability to oversee the efforts of less senior staff
  • Responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelors of Science degree in engineering or other technical discipline or a history of demonstrated capability supporting the job requirements.

Required Experience:

  • 10 years of experience as System Engineering
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of systems engineering and requirements analysis.
  • Successful missile system fire direction development experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading team thru Design Reviews.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Product Verification and/or Test experience

Desired Experience:

  • 10 years of software experience supporting engineering for weapon systems.
  • Analysis experience in aspects of major Weapons Systems development, such as Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD), Fire Control (FOM, GFC), TMPC, C2BMC, BMDS sensors, etc. Other examples include: THAAD, AFATDS C2, Army Launcher programs (MML)
  • Experience in overseeing/interfacing with agile software development teams located in local and remote locations
  • Knowledge of system interface requirements and requirements management as well as techniques to drive system behaviors.
  • Cross-service/joint experience (e.g. Army/Navy, USAF/Army)
  • Experience in Verification and Validation (V&V) of requirements in a modeling and simulation environment
  • Operational Test experience

Secret clearance required
