Responsibilities:

We are looking for engineers that possess a solid working knowledge and experience base in the development of physics-based simulations.   The candidate should have a background in EO/IR systems or 6-DOF modeling and be capable of analyzing system concepts and measured data. Candidate will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to develop high-fidelity simulations of IR Sensors and/or Interceptor systems to assess current and future defense concepts.  In addition, the candidate is expected to develop concept requirements, perform trade studies, develop independent performance assessments of laser and sensor systems, interceptor concepts, build data analysis toolkits and algorithms, and perform mission level data analysis.  The ideal candidate will have the ability to design, code, and integrate software modules into a simulation framework, and understand and contribute across various domains of expertise. Experience with GPU programming is a plus.

  • Candidate should have 5-15 years of professional experience
  • Optics and photonics technology and phenomenology
  • Laser system and subsystem modeling and simulation
  • Electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR) sensor analysis
  • 6-DOF Modeling
  • Software development skills include but not limited to: C++, Python, Matlab, and C.
  • Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Self-motivated yet able to work well within a development team.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field required, Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Active Security Clearance required. Top Secret is strongly desired.
