Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Program Control Analyst to join our team in either our Huntsville, AL and Dayton, OH location.  You will provide project control for several of National Security Division (NSD's) largest prime contracts by acting as a liaison between the program manager (PM) and the corporate functional staff.

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Program Control Analyst to join our team. You will provide project control for several of National Security Division (NSD's) largest prime contracts by acting as a liaison between the program manager (PM) and the corporate functional staff.  This position can be located in the Huntsville, AL and Dayton, OH locations and allows for an hybrid work environment. 

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

Specific duties include:

  • Track funding levels for assigned programs at the IDIQ level, project level, program level, and task order and generate Limitation of Funds letters if necessary.
  • Track revenue, monitor direct and indirect expenses, establish burn-rates, and provide ideas/solutions to program leadership to solve challenges.
  • Manage direct (billable) hours, materials, ODCs, and travel expenses for the prime as well as subcontractors and other vendors.
  • Ensure accuracy of invoices prior to submission.
  • Ensure that all travel is planned, coordinated, approved, executed, and reported within the guidance and regulations set forth by program and the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR).
  • Coordinate, prepare, and submit contract deliverables in a timely manner; some of these may include: Monthly Status Reports (MSRs), Technical Reports, Project Management Plans, and Transition Plans.


  • 4+ years’ experience acting as a Program Control Analyst for Government contracts.
  • Experience with CostPoint and Deltek 7.0 or higher.
  • Understanding of different types of contracts (e.g. CPFF, T&M, Fixed Price).
  • Understanding of revenue/profit forecasting and EAC modeling.
  • Experience with IBM Cognos/Deltek Business Intelligence.
  • Excellent communication & collaboration skills.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
