Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a mid-level Systems Engineer to support a Missile Defense Agency (MDA) acquisition program office in Huntsville, AL. The candidate will support software and hardware development activities, system and sub-system integration, sustaining engineering, test and evaluation, and system operations for missile defense technologies and applications.

Responsibilities:
As a mid-level Systems Engineer with MTSI you will support software and hardware development activities, system and sub-system integration, sustaining engineering, test and evaluation, and system operations for missile defense technologies and applications. This position will be located in the Huntsville, AL area.
Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
- You will Monitor and Coordinate hardware/software development activities and provide technical guidance on the implementation of requirements.
- Analyze software and hardware baseline as a result of operational needs, technology obsolescence, and/or system enhancements to maintain operational effectiveness and readiness.
- Support sustaining engineering activities such as emplacing and operating system platforms, monitoring system performance, O-level repairs, and operator training.
- Support test events and provide engineering and validation assessments to ensure systems meet the intended purpose and have operational utility.
- Support test readiness reviews, technical interchange meetings, technology readiness assessments and levels, system design reviews (PDR, CDR, FDR), and Agile software design processes.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years' of related system engineering experience.
- Capable of performing as a member of a team and assisting with solving complex problems.
- Self-starter with enthusiasm and capacity to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability and willingness to travel (25%) CONUS and OCONUS.
Desired Requirements:
- Knowledge and experience with Missile Defense systems and applications.
- Familiarity and experience with Linux Operating systems.
- Knowledge and experience with RF technologies and hardware
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
- Master’s degree in a STEM field, (DESIRED).
Clearance Requirements:
- Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
