As a Senior Acquisition Program Manager you will provide strategic acquisition program management support to the Government Program Manager. You must have an in-depth understanding of DoD and Air Force acquisition policies. You will assist the program manager and interfaces with various aerospace, space, cloud, and cyberspace industry subject matter experts to develop requirements, evaluate contract proposals, and execute programs within cost and schedule constraints.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • 15+ years of program management of major acquisition programs
  • Provide acquisition program management expertise in lean six-sigma strategies and execution; working knowledge of agile methods, practices, and execution for DoD service acquisition organizations is highly relevant
  • Strong research skills and a desire to learn new technologies such as public and private cloud solutions in multi-level security environments
  • Demonstrate ability to assess and articulate risk, including to non-technical audiences. Prepare assessments of technical progress toward major engineering milestones
  • Assist by evaluating trade studies, technical approach/designs, and proposed engineering changes
  • Program Management in terms of cost, schedule, performance, and risk management
  • Must be comfortable in a challenging, multi-tasking, dynamic, high-tempo, deadline-intensive environment
  • Demonstrate proficiency in drafting programmatic documentation and presentations (e.g. information support plans, program transition plans, test plans, product support strategies, product roadmaps, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills, written and oral
  • Must have experience in an SAP environment within the last 5 years

Educational Requirements:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in any of the following: business, economics, program management, math, or engineering. A Master's degree is preferred.

Clearance Required:

  • TS/SCI (top secret/SCI)

Professional certifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP); PM & Agile certifications - PMI-ACP
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
  • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III certification in Program Management
