This role will be responsible for conducting and reporting fast-paced, streamlined flight test operations in support of the Air National Guard Air Force Reserve Command Test Center (AATC) in Tucson, AZ, specifically for F-16 Combined Test Force (CTF) Mission Planning.

This individual will:
• Perform developmental and operational test support for the latest F-16 operational flight programs and their associated system / weapon mission planning systems
• Assist the CTF Director in identifying prospective design updates to mission planning systems to modernize and increase lethality for the F-16
• Participate in design reviews with the F-16 SPO and AATC pilots/engineers
• Plan for flight testing, draft test reports, draft test information sheets, conduct pre-mission and post-mission briefs and mission reviews with project pilots, archive test mission data, and assist with engineering changes as required
• Be responsible for post flight data downloading/archiving, ensuring post flight mission data is available for review, and oversee mission data transfers to the 309th Software Engineering Group / system vendors as required
• Become proficient in F-16 mission planning systems to include Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) and provide input for mission planning software updates to user interface and output
• Understand the operation and tactical applications of Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve aircraft and systems
• Directly support AATC in the development of advanced combat systems from cradle to grave in an independent, high-energy environment and will operate in multidisciplinary teams of industry, government and military personnel consisting of engineers, analysts, scientists, pilots, and aircrew
• Possess a can-do attitude and be self-starting, ambitious, and hard-working


Required Skills:
Two (2) years’ experience in operational and/or developmental test and evaluation.

• Possess a strong desire to learn new systems and propose new ideas for F-16 systems, software, and design
• Possess experience with test and development, to include software update proposal/selection, design of test, test execution, data analysis, and reporting
• Possess experience with common design tools and data analysis tools. The candidate will be required to work on a flight line in a high noise environment
• Have the ability to work in a team environment with demonstrated leadership and customer interface skills
• Possess good analytic skills and be capable of operating in a multi-tasking environment
• Possess strong verbal and written communications skills
• Prior experience in special access programs is highly desired

Desired Skills:
Background in aircraft mission planning systems to include the Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS).

Must be able to travel approximately 25%.

Education Requirements:
B.S. in technical discipline is required, preferably in aeronautical engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science. Master’s degree in a technical discipline is desired.

Security Clearance:
Must be able to qualify for and maintain a Top-Secret Security Clearance

Candidate must have a valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record.
