Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI), is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Systems Analyst to support the Advanced Programs Branch Sensors Directorate (AFRL/RY) at WPAFB, Ohio.

You will work with customers, the Study Lead, and model developers to create and execute analysis plans including computer model run matrices and develop computer model (AFSIM and other mission and engagement level models) input to replicate the system or concept under test, the appropriate operating environment, and the concept of operations.

MTSI is seeking a IT Cloud Solutions Architect to be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of a strategic secure cloud (on-prem/hybrid/native) infrastructure environment. Approximately 90% of time will be supporting a secure weapon systems customer Agile DevSecOps and Digital Engineering environment that will support weapon system capability development and early systems engineering analyses. This position will be a lead role that interfaces with a team of engineers, developers, information technology SME’s, information assurance cybersecurity SMEs, and other professionals. The additional 10% of time will be supporting and leading internal company specific strategic initiatives helping to establish MTSI as a leader in next-generation digital architecture support and services.



• Digest technical feedback and translate this into high-level/non-technical requirements for stakeholders and other non-technical partners to convey proper meaning of needs/status
• Convert non-technical requirements from customer into stories and epics for developmental purposes
• Maintain a schedule of milestones that is coherent and logical with the ability to update as to keep the team on the same page
• Engage in technical conversations with various teams and be able to “translate their requirements” to other teams


• Experience with modern agile workflows and development tools like Jira/Confluence
• Prior experience working with software development/infrastructure teams
• Working knowledge of the fundamentals of software application development and delivery, networking, and infrastructure installation and maintenance
• Working knowledge of modern DoD strategies, reference designs, and software factory “blueprints” including the knowledge of what CI/CD is, DevSecOps, on-prem/commercial cloud, and delivery platforms like Kubernetes


• Reliable, on-time, and trustworthy – the team will depend on the IT Cloud Solutions Architect as the focal point to get actions completed with customers, and team leads
• Social skills that allow for clear and concise communication with teams, customers, etc.
• Self-driven with the motivation to self-teach and fill in the gaps of working knowledge (staying relevant with ever-changing technology landscape)

• Maintain working schedule of task status, deliverables, and meetings
• Communicate between various value streams and the other partners/customers as needed
• Orchestrate communication on task prioritization and facilitate the order of importance via feedback from the customer and information from the team
• Interview candidates to fill open positions with a focus on team-fit and ability
• Facilitate necessary procurements needs – ensure market research is provided to the procurement team
• Work with the teams to get feedback on configuration changes that could impact the architecture of the network
• Maintain open door policy for team members to ensure open lines of communication and transparency
• Champion of agile culture and organizational digital transformation


• Demonstrated on-the-job experience with Multifactor Authentication Integration
• Demonstrated on-the-job experience with windows server patching and WSUS service
• Demonstrated experience with DoD 8570, ICD 503, DCID 6/3
• Demonstrated on-the-job experience with Linux Integration with Active Directory
• Demonstrated experience with VOIP, VTC, IRC, and Screen Share service
• Demonstrated on-the-job experience with Disaster Recovery / COOP exercises


• Bachelors and 8+ years in Engineering, Computer Science, Software Development, Systems Engineering, or related field. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
• Expert level knowledge of one or more cloud platforms (on-prem/hybrid/native)
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication both verbal and written

Ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance
