The primary function is to provide multi-disciplined security support to a customer’s facility and organization. The position will provide “day-to-day” support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) activities. The position will provide task coverage for all security functions/programs within the organization. This position also serves as Technical Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) support to security programs, provides validation site visits, and augments IG for inspection of units and organizations performing SAP missions.

Responsibilities:
Duties to be independently executed include but are not limited to:
• Adhere to security policies and guidance for conducting Special Access Program (SAP)/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI) operations, activities, and advisory assistance to unit members in accordance with program directives and security classification guides (SCG).
• Advise the customer on current personnel security policies and procedures for obtaining and maintain SAP and SCI accesses.
• Assist in the management of SAP and SCI access quotas and maintains the unit’s internal master program access database.
• Provide review of Program Access Request (PAR) nominations and prepare packages for additional review, Letters of Compelling Need (LOCN) and waiver packages for further review.
• Accurately maintain Joint Access Database Environment (JADE) records in the database to include privacy act information, foreign contact/travel information and program accesses.
• Maintain personnel security files that include initial and refresher training, records, PARs, indoctrinations, debriefs, and other required information.
• Accurately transmit classified, contractor proprietary and sensitive information via a variety of classified networks and secure fax machines.
• Control all incoming and outgoing media and maintain related database and disposition records.
• Perform all aspects of physical security for classified facilities to include entry control, meeting rosters, issue visitor badges, etc.
• Conduct entry/exit checks to ensure prohibited devices are not introduced into the facilities and classified materials improperly removed.
• Identify and report deficiencies to support regulatory compliance.
• Assist functional planners in identifying Operations Security (OPSEC) indicators and implement OPSEC measures to protect program activities.
• Develop and implement an SAP and SCI security education and training program designed and tailored to meet specific requirements of the unit.
• Manage the Industrial Security Program IAW DoD and AF guidance; review and process DD-254s.
• Conduct security classification reviews of customer products and documents.
• Develop physical security operating procedures, inspection checklists, as required by DoD, SCI and AF SAP physical security requirements.
• Manage the organization’s physical and technical security program; utilizes ICD 705 in development and management of secure facilities associated with the SCI and SAP.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree with at least 5+ years of relevant experience
• Active Top Secret security clearance, current within five (5) years.
• Must be a team player and be able to work within all levels of a project team.
• Excellent time management, scheduling, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well independently as well as follow detailed instructions for completing tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to complete tasks, drive projects to closure, assimilate and correlate project information in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to shift from one project to another in a dynamic, agile work environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to clearly translate client technical needs into technical specifications.
• Knowledge of the Air Force framework, directives, and policies.
• At least 5-7 years of progressive experience in security related tasks relevant to the responsibilities above.
• Must have 3 years or more of experience in a SAP environment within the last 5 years.
• Must be experienced and comfortable with using Microsoft Office and Visio.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and a high attention to detail.
• Must be highly organized and have a demonstrated ability to use creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving problems; apply competency in unclear and complicated situations.
• Demonstrated ability to independently execute, lead, and complete tasks; drive projects to closure, assimilate and correlate project information in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Government policies, directives, standards, handbooks, and pamphlets as well as DoD-adopted industry standards relating to security is highly desired.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity and Risk Management Framework in accordance with NIST SP 800-37.
• Security+ certification.
• Strong program management skills.
• Facility management experience within a Government facility.
• Experience reviewing proposal and contracts.
