Responsibilities:

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a candidate with a Systems Engineering and/or Weapon Systems modeling background to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) efforts to develop system level modeling and simulation (M&S) requirements for its distributed M&S federation. The candidate will apply MTSI’s simulation conceptual modeling (SCM) process which essentially translates the physical representation of a real system into suitable abstractions that result in requirements that drive the development of the distributed M&S federation. The candidate will have demonstrated ability in systems thinking and familiarity with defense systems

Role and Responsibilities

  • Work with M&S Requirements team and MDS elements to develop and document simulation conceptual models (SCMs)
  • Conduct analysis of MDS system specification (SS) and phased implementation plan (PIP) to assist in the development of translatable M&S requirements
  • Assists in the development and coordination of specification change notices (SCNs) and related artifacts
  • Assist in the development of M&S System Requirements Documents (SRDs)
  • Participate in technical interchange meetings, generate reports and briefs

Qualifications:

  • MA/MS degree and 12+ years (or BA/BS degree with 20+ years) working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD programs/project
  • Familiarity with DOORS Next Generation (DNG) Data Base and publishing tools
  • Familiarity with requirements development processes
  • Familiarity with simulation conceptual model processes and tools
  • Must possess a Secret level security clearance (or higher)
  • Familiarity with Missile Defense System (MDS)
