Responsibilities:

The AMD Senior Director for Missile Defense Services is responsible for providing senior leadership in the capture, development, integration, and execution of MTSI business opportunities in the Missile Defense Agency’s functional (DE, CA, DT, DO, DA) and program (GM, BC, SN, TH, TC, AB) support areas.  This individual will also be responsible for MTSI’s continued grow strategy for NSWC Crane (MACH-TB, NHANCE) and ongoing FBI efforts.  This senior leader partners with the AMD EVP and senior AMD leadership to create and implement integrated, capability-driven growth in the MDA Services, NSWC Crane, FBI and other markets as assigned.

Responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and capturing future growth opportunities in the MDA Services, NSWC Crane, FBI and other assigned markets
  • Executing successful program development and ongoing expansion of current AMD MDA Services, NSWC Crane, and FBI efforts
  • Providing technical leadership and contract management oversight for AMD engineers and analysts supporting MDA, NSWC Crane and FBI organizations
  • Help define MTSI and AMD’s strategic requirements and recommended penetration strategy for the MDA services, NSWC Crane and FBI markets to promote company market share growth.

Qualifications:

  • Embraces MTSI culture and exhibits MTSI Core Values
  • 20 years’ experience in MDA, NSWC Crane and FBI organizations and markets (Prior Military and Civilian experience combinations are acceptable).
  • Must possess a familiarity with the MDA, NSWC Crane and FBI customer base and a have thorough knowledge of the MDA, NSWC Crane and FBI organizations.
  • Awareness of current industry capabilities aligned with MDA, NSWC Crane and FBI sectors.
  • 10+ years’ experience in progressive leadership roles with significant profit and loss (>$25M) and/or overseeing an organization exceeding 200 staff members.
  • Senior leader with a consistent track record of achieving significant business growth through personal leadership in the planning, development, integration, and sales of highly differentiated services and solutions.

  • Strong leadership skills who has high credibility with senior decision makers in the Missile Defense and NSWC-Crane markets.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written as well as a history of presentation skills to clients, industry partners, and boards.
  • Ability to open conversations and close deals / opportunities.
  • Track record of revenue growth and profit target achievement.
  • Demonstrable ability to work in fast-changing environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of strategic planning, business development, and customer relationships in the missile defense sectors.
  • Expert capture manager and proposal writer/reviewer with track record of delivering high proposal win rates as P&L leader.
  • Highly motivated, organized and possessing the ability to multi-task.
  • Customer-oriented focus.
  • Ability to build, motivate and retain a strong team of performers.
  • Professional and positive approach, self-motivated, team player, creative with the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, teammates, and the internal team.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Advanced degree (MBA or related field) is preferred.

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

  • Active Secret clearance is required
  • SAP experience, TS/SCI clearance eligibility highly desired

LOCATION:

This position is located/based in the Huntsville, Alabama area.

TRAVEL: The position requires moderate travel (10%-20%) to customer and office locations across the United States
