Responsibilities:

MTSI Multi-Level Security digital team is seeking a DevSecOps Architect to be responsible for design, implementation, and management of a DevSecOps infrastructure environments in support of Sentinel Program for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) under the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center. Approximately 90% of time will be supporting DevSecOps pipeline architecture and development that will support software capability development and early systems engineering analyses for AFNWC. This position will be a part of the government and contractor team of engineers, developers, program managers, Information Technology SME’s, Information Assurance / Cybersecurity SMEs, and other professionals supporting the mission.  The additional 10% of time will be supporting and leading internal company specific strategic initiatives helping to establish MTSI as a leader in DevSecOps support and services.

Travel within CONUS may be required up to 50%.

Duties:

  • Managing and leading engineering and IT related processes for planning, execution and reporting to include: DevSecOps, Requirements and Interface Management, Architecture (system, data, and security), Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Integration, Verification and Validation, Transition, Configuration Management, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Cloud Technology Services, MLS Solution, and Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.
  • Define/create/review/maintain configuration for application deployments, pipelines, services, etc. including the associated required compliance measures.
  • Identify and implement needed alterations/configurations for various NIST and DISA requirements for elevated multi-level security (MLS) environments.
  • Work within a DevSecOps team, collaborating with other Developers, Security, and Operations, to continuously deliver products and increase the value stream for the organization and customers.
  • Embrace and champion Agile development processes and adoption modern DevSecOps workflows and practices while providing technical guidance to team members and coworkers on best practices.
  • Ensure that development and software CI/CD uses security best practices throughout the entire process
  • Identify and mitigate technological or process related risks impacting development.
  • Setting up and managing the development environment, configuring, and maintaining various cloud-based services, and managing/maintaining/enhancing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Document various aspects of day-to-day maintenance and bugfixes applied to environmental resources and application deployments.
  • Diagnose problems and develop fixes to implement quickly and efficiently for production incidents to support user-base in complex environments.
  • Ability to communicate complex IT related solutions to technical and non-technical employees.
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of personal responsibility.

Qualifications:

Position Requirements:

  • 6+ years of proven experience as a DevOps Architect or related role.
  • 3+ of experience in the implementation of DoD enterprise IT program(s), performing systems engineering associated with the design, development, and implementation of IT.
  • Certifications in security (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are advantageous.
  • Expertise in container-based technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
  • Experience with CI/CD systems and writing pipelines with tools like GitLab CI, Jenkins, or related technology.
  • Capable of implementing Infrastructure as Code with technologies like Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or related technology.
  • Expertise in DevOps technologies, concepts, agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge in Multi-Level Security ATO and C-ATO.
  • Hands on experience with Helm, Kustomize, ArgoCD, FluxCD, or related technologies.
  • Understanding of Modern programming languages (C++, Python, Java, etc.).

Education Requirements:  

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security Systems Engineering, or related fields.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Active security clearance (e.g., Secret, Top Secret) required

Travel Requirements:  

  • Must be able to travel monthly.
