The ISSO position is responsible for ensuring the apporiate operational security is maintained for an information system and as such, works in close collaboration with the ISSSM and ISO. The position shall have detailed knowledge and expertise required to manage the security aspects of an information systems and for the day-to-day security operations of a system.

Responsibilities:

• The Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) shall have DoD 8570 Information Assurance Management Level I and GIAC Security Leadership Certification Security+, or equivalent certifications, and 3-5 years of classified information systems experience working with an Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to develop and implement DoD security controls.
• DoD Directive 8140.01 IS and IA certifications, Air Force Special Access Authorization Tool experience, and experience implementing the Risk Management Framework (RMF) per the Joint SAP Implementation Guide (JSIG), are highly desired.
• Shall have experience developing IA Standard Operating Procedures (IASOP), System Security Plans (SSPs), and implementing audits, threat, and vulnerability assessments, and applying security-related software tools to manage and control classified information systems.
• Shall have experience managing the configuration of classified information systems.
• Shall have experience uploading and downloading files across classified networks operating at different classification levels and controlling and recording all incoming and outgoing digital media.

• Shall have experience resolving information systems security incidents. Contractor personnel shall have experience developing and critically reviewing information assurance and cyber security documentation.
• Shall be capable of independently performing the most complicated and technical tasks relevant to the performance work statement scope in the basic contract, and the performance work statement for the individual tasks.

Qualifications:

• Candidate shall have 10 years’ experience in the related field demonstrating and practicing their knowledge, skills, and abilities in Information Systems Security
• Possess an active Top Secret security clearance, current within five years, and be eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Programs (SAP) access.
• 12 months or more experience in a SAP environment within the last five years
• Bachelor’s degree in a related information security discipline
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Products
