Responsibilities:

The DSO Capability Focus Area (CFA) Team is seeking a DSO Engineer & Training Lead to help provide support to DoD and Intel Mission partners architect and build out DSO infrastructure and capability. The MTSI DSO CFA team mission is to drive education, culture, awareness and augment our DoD, IC, and Commercial customers needing to deploy rapid DSO capabilities across their missions. The candidate will be responsible for working with the customer and stakeholders to achieve project goals and architect platform infrastructure, assist with proposals, and oversee technical details by other contractors on the project(s). This position is in the United States as a 100% remote position.

You’ll be a great fit for this role if: (SOFT SKILLS)


• You have at least 2-4 years of proven experience as a Software Engineering, DevSecOps (Gov’t), or DevOps (Commercial) engineering experience
• You have knowledge with container-based technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
• You have experience with CI/CD systems and writing pipelines with tools like GitLab CI, Jenkins, or related technology
• You have capable of implementing Infrastructure as Code with technologies like Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or related technology
• You have experience in DevOps technologies, concepts, agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines
• You have hands on experience with Helm, Kustomize, ArgoCD, FluxCD, or related technologies
• You understand Modern programming languages (C++, Python, Java, etc.)


Responsibilities:

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:


• Take ownership of the current DSO bench training program including the curriculum, monitoring participant progress, reporting progress to DSO stakeholders, and tracking key milestones
• Ensuring capabilities that are deployed, are tested, and meet security requirements
• Ensuring development and software continuous integration continuous delivery (CI/CD) uses security best practices throughout the process
• Working with cloud deployment activities to ensure configurations meet NIST, STIG, JSIG and other DoD required security standards
• Recommending and implementing automation routines for various repeated tasks
• Defining, creating, reviewing, and maintaining configuration for application deployments, pipelines, services, etc. including the associated required compliance measures
• Identifying and implementing needed alterations/configurations for various NIST, JSIG, and DISA requirements for elevated classification environments
• Leading a DSO training initiatives, collaborating with others to continuously deliver products and value for the organization and its customers
• Championing Agile development processes and adoption of modern DSO workflows and practices while providing technical guidance to team members and co-workers on best practices
• Ensuring development and software CI/CD uses security best practices throughout the entire process.
• Identifying and mitigating technological or process related risks impacting development
• Setting up and managing the development environment, configuring, and maintaining various cloud-based services, and managing/maintaining/enhancing CI/CD pipelines
• Innovating and recommending improvements for software and/or data delivery and conveyance

• Recommending prioritized fixes to the customer to implement quickly and efficiently for production incidents to support user-base in complex environments

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of proven experience as a Software Engineering, DevSecOps (Gov’t), or DevOps (Commercial) solutions architecture experience

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:


• B.S. degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or related field


SECURITY CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED:


Ability to obtain a secret clearance
