
MTSI SkillBridge Fellowship
Empowering Service Members to Own Your Military Transition
Each year, thousands of U.S. Armed Forces members transition from active duty to civilian careers , and MTSI is proud to be a partner in making that shift seamless and rewarding. Through the Department of Defense (DoD)’s SkillBridge program, we offer transitioning service members tailored on-the-job training, professional development, and networking opportunities to prepare for success in a civilian workforce—all while leveraging the leadership, expertise, and dedication they’ve cultivated during military service.


As a SkillBridge partner, MTSI can ensure a high probability of a job being available to the participating Service members at the end the program. Additionally, MTSI will provide SkillBridge Fellows with a customized training plan, networking opportunities, 1-on-1 sessions with leadership, hands-on learning, plus a dedicated MTSI lead to job shadow and train with throughout their Fellowship.
Who Can Apply?
Participation in SkillBridge is open to eligible Service members who:
- Have 180 days or fewer remaining prior to discharge, following at least 180 continuous days of active service.
- Obtain approval from their unit commander.
- Agree that participation can be terminated if mission requirements dictate.
How to Apply
MTSI supports in-person, hybrid, and fully remote SkillBridge opportunities—so you can get access to the highest level of civilian workforce training, without uprooting your life or your family.
Service members applying for the DoD SkillBridge Program with MTSI must also receive written authorization from their unit commander (minimum O-4/Field Grade).
What to Expect
After selection, MTSI will develop a customized syllabus or training plan tailored to your expertise. Once finalized, MTSI will provide a SkillBridge commitment letter and assign you program mentor, with the long-term goal of transitioning you into a full-time role after SkillBridge completion.
